Mysterious witches and their foul magic is a major element of Dungeons and Dragons, and Hags are one of the most horrible species among them. Resembling witches from age-old legends, hags classify as gnarled humanoids. It's a female-only race and have wicked intentions whose evil magic is a part of nightmares and fairy tales.
When this species is not quite willing to bargain and is simply looking to harm someone for different reasons, they often take up a human form or turn themselves into demi-human females that are old or young but look helpless. They also tend to transform their form into orcs or hobgoblins. They have different magical items with them that they use as and when needed. If hags feel threatened by something, they feign weakness to prey on the merciful to buy time or to be spared altogether. It's quite common for them to bribe, lie, cheat, shame, cajole, tempt, divide, terrify, and exploit their foes by any means.
A hag's lair looks very unsightly and horrific, usually being constructed out of a a dead tree, a cave that looks like a skull or even an actual giant skull. They also sometimes, tweak their houses to resemble ruined towers, taverns, giant coffins, mausoleums, and even gingerbread houses.
Hags are all about ugliness inside-out and they take on the forms of very unsightly old women. Their skin color varies with each other while their height remains around 4-5.5 feet. Hags possess blue, hazel, green or purple eyes and usually have long hair in white, green, black, or amber. Their children look exactly like the humanoid infants that they eat to reproduce, until their offspring turns thirteen.
Before the age of 13, a hag D&D looks like girls from another race, but still possesses witchy powers. Their lifespan ranges from 300-400 years and they love to find new ways to torment others.
